The Journey

The journey begins by discovering how fear holds us back. Personal Narratives become the catalyst to do this. Do we view the future as primarily threat or opportunity? What is our call to action to others for addressing this future? Institutional, geographical and movement narratives can also be powerful catalysts to help us evolve our emotions and empower our actions that follow.

The second stage draws out the Passion of the Explorer that is within all of us. This very specific form of passion becomes the fuel that can generate deep excitement about opportunities in the future. 

Research into domains marked by sustained extreme performance improvement indicates where this passion is present. It generates excitement about the opportunity to have increasing impact in the specific activity that matters to us. 

This form of passion also makes us excited about addressing unexpected challenges and reaching out to others for help in addressing these challenges.

The third – and never-ending – stage of the journey unleashes the power of platforms to accelerate learning. In a rapidly changing world, acquiring knowledge is important, but creating new knowledge is even more important.

We bring people together into small Impact Groups of 3-15 people who develop deep, trust-based relationships with each other and who are driven to act and learn together through the impact they achieve. 

The Center’s learning platform supports these Impact Groups and connects them into broader and broader networks so that they can accelerate and scale their learning, action, and impact.
